Rediscovering Passion:

My KaleidoSpace Odyssey

I was a teacher by profession—a licensed one at that. For nearly seven years, teaching was my life, my passion, until it wasn’t anymore. One morning, I woke up dreading the thought of going to work. I felt a profound emptiness, a loss of the passion that once fueled me.

Eventually, I resigned. I left DepEd. And it was something that most people around me would never understand. But it didn’t matter.

For over a year, I was adrift, trying to rediscover my purpose and career path. Then, one ordinary day, while scrolling through social media, I stumbled upon FAVA. This introduction to virtual assistance, lead generation, and creating an online presence intrigued me, but what truly ignited a spark was content creation and social media management.

Part of the training included an Interview Preparation Workshop, where I met Coach Monique. She offered to review our resumes to enhance our job prospects. I sent her mine, and to my surprise, she extended an invitation to join an internship she managed. This marked the beginning of my journey with Kaleidospace.

During the internship, I quickly realized how much I still had to learn. The difference between theoretical knowledge and practical application was stark. Yet, I felt incredibly fortunate to have mentors guiding me through this new terrain. From designing posters and crafting captions to scheduling posts, managing engagements, and handling client emails, I immersed myself in every aspect of social media management.

This experience profoundly shaped me. I honed my communication skills, learned to prioritize client satisfaction, and developed problem-solving abilities. I became adept at managing my time, organizing tasks, and multitasking—all while maintaining a high standard of quality in every deliverable.

For the first time in my career, I felt truly alive. The sense of achievement was exhilarating, and I could see real progress in my work. Despite the sleepless nights, I found joy in waking up early, eager to dive into my tasks. Between the stiff neck from long hours and forgetting to hydrate due to intense concentration, nothing compares to the thrill of meeting deadlines and continually learning to work more efficiently.

Ultimately, I realized there's always more to discover, and I'm excited for that journey. At Kaleidospace, I found not just a job but a revitalized passion and a renewed sense of purpose.

I still miss out on sleep sometimes, but this time, I am happy. This time, I am truly alive.
